４分間のピアニスト
少し前の作品ですが、私の中で凄く彩濃く遺る作品。
原題 4minutes
“類いまれな才能を持ちながら、
人生は過ちばかり。
自由をつかむために彼女に残された演奏時間は、
たったの４分間だった。 ”
刑務所で受刑者たちにピアノを教えるクリューガーは、
ある日、稀に見る才能の持ち主ジェニーに出会う。
反抗的で暴力的なジェニーは、
幼い頃から神童と騒がれた天才少女だったが、
今では刑務所内随一の問題児となっていた...
監督・脚本はクリス・クラウス。
新聞記事から刑務所でピアノを教える80歳の老女教師の実話を基に書き下ろした。
彼は構想に８年間も費やし、１２００人のオーディションを経て、
この映画のヒロインにふさわしい無名の女優を見い出して完成させた。
私の幼少期は祖母と育ったので、
ウィーンフィルハーモニーの第九をこたつで聴くのが年末だった。
子供だから習い事とかも嫌で反抗もするし、
意思を持つ頃にはバラエティとかが観たくて、
クラシックなんてどうでも良くなっていたんだけど、
２０歳になった年、
ふと耳に入ったクラシックに感動した。
のだめカンタービレとかもハマっちゃって、
1週間位で観倒して〆に映画の後編を独りで行ったっけな。笑
そうやって小さい時に無償で与えられた記憶が、
素直なカタチで蘇る。
「親の心、子知らず」とはよく言うけど、
大人になって初めて気付くコトってたくさんあり過ぎる。
それ以来はたくさんのクラシックミュージックが奏でる作品を観て来たけど、
この映画は格別だった。
演奏のシーン、耳に入る音楽が衝撃で、
何とも言い表せない感動があった。
私が何かに行き詰まる度に観直す作品。

『出逢えた』コトが運命だとすれば、
